About us
Cardiff movers who quote once.
Trueload started in 2009 with one Luton van, two movers and a rule we still keep: nobody gets a price until somebody has seen the job.
Today we are 24 employed movers, 9 vehicles and a 320-container warehouse in Cardiff Bay. We move about 1,400 homes and offices a year, mostly within twenty miles of the city, and some a long way further.
Three things we do differently
We employ our movers
No day labour, no subcontracted crews on busy Fridays. Every mover is on the payroll, trained in-house for three weeks and paid for the hours they work, not by the job. It is why they do not rush your stairs.
One supervisor, start to finish
The person who surveys your home runs your move. They hold the inventory and they answer the phone. If something goes wrong, you already know who is sorting it.
The price is written down
Vehicle, crew, hours and price go into your booking in writing. We have not added a charge on moving day for something we saw at the survey, and we do not intend to start.
The warehouse
Alarmed, CCTV-monitored warehouse in Cardiff Bay, Unit 7 Tidefield. 320 wooden containers of 250 cu ft (7 m³), each sealed at your home and not opened again until it is back with you.
- Open for access visits Monday to Saturday, by appointment
- Dry, alarmed and pest-controlled, with a monitored fire system
- Storage insurance included in the weekly price
